Hello my friends and happy new year to you all officially 😊 ☺
Better late than never eyyhh. I know your thinking “what! Where have you been lady? I know, i get it, the year isn’t new no more right? True. I accept! You win..
But this is my first post this year, not great, but we’ve all been busy one way or another.
Staying at home, working from home, home schooling, signing up to online programmes from home, getting fat at home ( like me 🤫) all that stuff, home stuff. This is the time to actually live, live .
But, you know what, I’m happy you are well, keeping safe and alive. That’s the most important thing and we are grateful to God for that..
A very Deep thought
I feel like asking you particularly what you’ve been up to, did you sign up to any programmes, did you learn a new skill? Did you start a business? I’m eager to know. But it’s ok if you didn’t do any of those like me.
So, just to get onto the real reason for this post which you can tell from the title is a deep one. Have you ever heard the phase “live a little? Not my usual kind of writing but a few of you might actually find this interesting and if you are being honest, agree with it too.
I started this blog to encourage and inspire women to embrace their beauty and body post baby, then i was still a size 10 but i never knew that i would be writing more inspiration Quotings and captions like i do on my instgram , my facebook and here on my blog as you can see previous.
I started off as a fashion styling blog which it still is only a little something different today. Have you ever really thought about what you really want to do? What really makes you smile? What really and truly makes you happy? Have you really thought about the one thing that you would do for yourself and never ever regret it?
Living for parents
So, this thought came to me yesterday morning and i thought hard about it..
When you were children, you, (some of us, if not all of us) lived for your parents, their approval, their kind, lovely words of praise and lovely treats for being good, for being obedient, for making them proud, right? Well, maybe not exactly the way I’ve put it? But you get the gist?
This is mostly common with african families, my be not all but a good number. Now if you are not African, try to read and understand please, dong judge us, our african parents have the most amazingly big plans for their children and they do that with the best intentions. So, our parents chose the course you had to study/studied, maybe chose your spouse? Or maybe not 😆 I know a few instances where that is right 🤔
Have you ever done something because you wanted to and not really bother what anyone would think or say? Ever?
Living for what people will say
We are always more conscious of what others think of us or would say about our decisions that we forget those whose decisions of us really matters. Who are those you might ask? God and Yourself!!
Yes, Yourself because you know what you want and you should go for it and then ask for Gods direction and you know he’s got you because he says he’s the one that gives you those ideas..
Just go for it
My point today, Go for it, dreams, desires, aspirations, ideas, no matter how big, they are achievable. Don’t waste your time thinking about what everyone will think or say, live for you. Live your dreams, be happy with youself and feel full of mortivation and enthusiasm as that’s
God and Yourself are who you should aim to please, whose thoughts matter, that way, you fulfil your purpose without regrets as your focus is pleasing God and yourself…
Live colourful unapologetically 😀
Have a blessed week everyone.
